Situation: Matte Painting done for for a TV soap opera project , project at Globo Studios in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Task: based on the building that housed the Mappin department store in São Paulo in 1945. The project consists of reproducing the structure of the building and its surroundings at the time.
Action: I removed modern elements such as cables and traffic signs and, using digital painting and typography, I recreated the building's original signs from the 1940s. I then applied the signs to the building's structure and treated the values and colors.
Result: This was the project in which I made the most use of lettering during my time collaborating at Globo Studios. It gave me an experience in the subject that I didn't have before.
